We don’t stay in our lane
At Lotus Law Group, we don’t stay in our lane because our clients can’t afford to be left behind. We help businesses anticipate problems, adapt quickly, and keep moving forward.
Areas of Legal Practice
We focus on highly regulated, operationally complex industries, including cannabis, alcohol, hospitality, food and beverage, commercial and residential real estate, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. Not confined to a single lane, we help clients across the whole business lifecycle—from structure and growth to brand protection, contracts, real estate, regulatory compliance, dispute resolution, appeals, and, when necessary, bankruptcy or receivership.
We represent businesses and individuals in commercial litigation, arbitration, mediation, and appeals throughout Oregon and Washington. Our practice includes contract disputes, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, ownership and partnership disputes, employment litigation, and intellectual property matters, including extensive experience representing clients in the cannabis industry. We appear in state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, and appeals. Our goal is to resolve disputes efficiently without losing sight of the broader business objectives that brought clients to us in the first place.
We advise businesses from formation through growth, financing, acquisition, restructuring, and succession. Our work includes entity selection, governance, operating and shareholder agreements, commercial contracts, debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and ownership transitions. Whether serving entrepreneurs launching a new venture or established companies navigating complex transactions, we provide practical legal advice designed to help clients make informed decisions, manage risk, and keep their businesses moving forward.
We represent buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, and lenders in commercial real estate transactions and disputes. Our practice includes acquisitions, sales, financing, leasing, and development across a wide range of industries, including cannabis, hospitality, and retail. We also litigate commercial lease disputes, easement and boundary disputes, adverse possession claims, quiet title actions, and other matters affecting property rights. Whether negotiating a transaction or resolving a dispute, we focus on protecting both the real estate and the business behind it.
We represent clients before regulatory agencies in Oregon and Washington, particularly in the cannabis, alcohol, hospitality, and food and beverage industries. Our work includes licensing, compliance, investigations, agency negotiations, and contested administrative proceedings. Because regulatory issues often intersect with litigation, commercial contracts, employment, and real estate, we are able to guide clients through the broader legal and business issues that frequently accompany agency actions, from initial applications through administrative hearings and judicial review.
We advise employers on hiring, compensation, leave, discipline, restrictive covenants, investigations, terminations, and workplace policies. We prepare employment agreements, executive compensation arrangements, and employee handbooks, and we defend employers in discrimination, retaliation, wage, hour, and other workplace disputes. We also represent clients in proceedings before BOLI, the EEOC, and other administrative agencies, as well as in state and federal court when litigation cannot be avoided.
We help businesses protect and capitalize on their intellectual property through trademark registration, licensing, trade secret protection, and related counseling. Our work includes trademark strategy, confidentiality and licensing agreements, intellectual property provisions in commercial and employment contracts, and disputes involving trade secrets and confidential information. We also advise clients on intellectual property issues arising in mergers and acquisitions, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, and businesses operating in highly regulated industries, including cannabis.
We represent secured and unsecured creditors, debtors, trustees, receivers, and other stakeholders in bankruptcy, insolvency, and receivership matters throughout Oregon and Washington. Our practice includes Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 proceedings, state-court receiverships, related litigation, and appeals. Whether preserving assets, maximizing recoveries, protecting creditor rights, or guiding a restructuring, we provide practical representation informed by decades of experience with business insolvency and creditor-debtor issues.
Our People
Just like the lotus, we too have the ability to rise from the mud, bloom out of the darkness, and radiate into the world.
